Hey there, fellow miniature enthusiasts!
Long time no see, huh? I know it's been a while since you've heard from me or seen any new creations from Tremor Studios. Truth is, life's been keeping me on my toes – and mostly away from my beloved workbench.
The Day Job Dilemma
So, here's the scoop: my full-time job has been demanding more of my time lately. You know how it goes – the bills need paying, and sometimes our passions have to take a backseat. But don't worry, my love for creating miniature worlds hasn't diminished one bit! It's just been... well, miniaturized for a while.
Studio Space: The Incredible Shrinking Workshop
As you can tell by the photo, this is the current state of the studio, and well... it speaks for itself. What you're looking at is the result of too many projects and not enough space. From the recent addition of a new laser, another 3D printer and various modeling supplies I've collected over the years, its getting maddening to get creative with the walls closing in around me.
Every time I manage to sneak in there, I feel like I'm recreating the scene from A New Hope where our heroes are being crushed by the garbage mashers on the detention level. Move this box to reach that tool, shift that model to access this paint, hold up a long metal pole to keep the walls apart ... you get the idea. It's charming in a chaotic sort of way, but not exactly conducive to creating masterpieces.

Operation Reorganization
So, I've made an executive decision: it's time for a major overhaul! The plan is to transform this creative clutter into an organized oasis of miniature magic. I'm talking proper storage solutions, optimized workspaces, and maybe even room to, you know, stand up straight.
This reorganization mission is going to take some time, especially given my limited free hours. But I'm excited about it! I'm dreaming of a workspace where I can dive right into a project without spending half an hour excavating my desk first.
What's Next?
For now, Tremor Studios is in a bit of a chrysalis stage. There might not be much visible activity, but trust me, changes are happening behind the scenes. Once I've wrestled my studio into submission and carved out some more free time, I'll be back at the workbench with renewed energy and a ton of ideas.
In the meantime, feel free to drop me a line if you're curious about the progress or just want to chat about scale models. Your continued interest and support mean the world to me, even when I'm up to my eyeballs in "real world" responsibilities.
Stay tuned, stay creative, and remember – no matter how cramped things get, there's always room for imagination!
P.S - The Star Trek TNG busts of Riker and Troi are printed and ready for paint and I did manage a weeks-long 3D print of Bobba Fett's Slave One in studio scale. I'm especially stoked for that build. Stay tuned!
